Training Course
17-21 November 2024 | Paphos, Cyprus
Join us in Cyprus for an event designed to familiarise participants with KA1 155, supporting the development of knowledge and capacity through the exchange of good practices and lessons learned between beneficiaries, applicants, and participants of Discover EU Inclusion Action projects.
DiscoverEU is an action developed with the aim to support young people aged 18 years old to explore Europe’s diversity, learn about its cultural heritage and history, and connect with people from all over the continent while traveling by rail. DiscoverEU Inclusion Action seeks to enhance the inclusion dimension of the action by providing additional support to participants with fewer opportunities to have a short-term individual or group experience travelling across Europe, along with their peers. The seminar is designed to bring together participants that are interested in learning more about developing projects under the action with representatives of organisations and participants that have experience in implementing projects under the action in an exchange of learning and sharing of practices and lessons learned.
The seminar is scheduled to take place in Paphos, Cyprus from 17th to 21th November, 2024.
Main goal:
Our main objective is to strengthen the interest and the capacity of participants to effectively develop, implement, and assess Discover EU Inclusion Action projects, ultimately ensuring the provision of support for developing unique traveling and learning experiences to more young people facing challenges across Europe.
Context:
The Foundation for the Management of European Lifelong Learning Programmes is hosting a transnational event focused on fostering quality projects within the DiscoverEU Inclusion Action framework and enhancing the organisational capacity of European organisations to conceive and implement such projects. The primary aim of this initiative is twofold: to offer participants a platform for delving into inclusion and diversity within the context of DiscoverEU Inclusion Action, and to bolster the knowledge and capabilities of organisations throughout Europe. This will be achieved by facilitating the exchange of best practices and lessons learned among beneficiaries, applicants, and project participants. Ultimately, our objective is to enhance confidence and expertise in this specific action and its priorities, thus better serving larger and more diverse groups of young people and improving their overall travel and learning experiences in the long term.
Specific objectives:
Introduce Discover EU Inclusion Action to the participants and how to plan, implement and evaluate DiscoverEU Inclusion Action projects.
Facilitate the exchange of good practices and lessons learned between beneficiaries, applicants, and participants of DEU Inclusion Action projects.
Foster discussion on inclusion and diversity under the lens of DiscoverEU Inclusion Action and the European Strategy for Inclusion and Diversity.
Broaden the understanding of young people with fewer opportunities, and obstacles they are facing in relation to opportunities/possibilities offered through Discover EU Inclusion Action, and to the European Strategy for Inclusion and Diversity.
