Digital Storytelling

Training Course

28 July - 7 August 2024 | Sremski Karlovci (Novi Sad), Serbia

During training, you will learn the basics of audio-visual production, explore equipment, filming techniques, sound design, crafting narratives, scripting and much more. You'll gain hands-on experience and create impactful content for positive change.

Are you passionate about protecting the environment and creating powerful stories? Do you want to use your creativity to inspire change in your community? Are you between the ages of 16 and 30, eager to learn and ready to take and cue ACTION? Then this opportunity is for you!

Our project focuses on raising awareness about crucial environmental issues such as pollution, climate change, recycling, and sustainable development. We will welcome our participants to Sremski Karlovci, a unique and green town where each corner tells a story of its rich history, making it an ideal setting for learning the art of digital storytelling and exploring its natural beauty.

What You’ll Gain:

Technical Skills: Learn the basics of video production, including scripting, storyboarding, filming, and editing in Premiere Pro.

Storytelling Techniques: Discover how to craft compelling narratives that resonate with audiences.

Environmental Advocacy: Use your new skills to highlight environmental issues and promote sustainable practices.

Collaboration and Teamwork: Work with like-minded peers from different countries, sharing ideas and creating together.

Networking Opportunities: Connect with a network of young environmental advocates and industry professionals.

Project Funding: Gain the opportunity to receive funding for your own local environmental project.

How to get involved

If you’re ready to participate in this transformative training course, complete our online application form (https://forms.gle/Ln4DifQfjoz7QTUu7). Share your interests, experiences, and why you’re motivated to join our project. The selection team, composed of project members and our young volunteers, will review applications and invite the most promising candidates for interviews.

TC is open to participants from Austria, Croatia, North Macedonia, Lithuania, Türkiye, and the hosting country, Serbia. For logistics and technical questions, candidates are advised to contact partner organisations, which are easily found in the info pack attached.

Important Information

Participants are expected to fully engage in the training course and other related activities afterwards. After the training, participants are required to deliver their youth-owned, youth-led, team-oriented activities in their local communities, sharing their new skills and knowledge with others. Participants will receive a sufficient grant to support these activities and, for this purpose, have a chance to attend the National TC about writing project proposals in November 2024.

Each participant will sign a Scholarship Agreement to ensure commitment and mutual respect for obligations. This agreement underscores the importance of your full participation, given the resources invested to provide this unique opportunity
