Connect ecovillages and sustainable projects with youth!

Training Course

4-9 June 2024 | Campo Base Hostel, Rascafría, Spain

The main aim of the 6-day training teaches you how to start volunteering projects in your own ecovillages or sustainability projects, in the frame of the European Solidarity Corps programme.

Content

We will explore the possibilities the new programme generation of the European Solidarity Corps offers, and get into some background  knowledge relevant to volunteering projects.

We cover different aspects: bureaucratic procedures in all project stages (quality label, application, implementation and follow-up), practical aspects of integrating volunteers into the community, exchange of experience, meeting with local volunteers and more.

The training is also a great networking opportunity. For a volunteering project you need a sending and a hosting partner, and you just might find one for your project here.

Both facilitators have been part of the strategic partnership project “Volunteering - Solidarity - Sustainability” which focused on a good practice exchange on hosting volunteers in communities. It will also be part of the training to dive deeper but here’s a link to the introduction video (YouTube).

Facilitators : The facilitators are Liina Järviste (France) and Annika Alex (Germany).

Language : The language of the training is English.

When?  The training takes place June 04 - 09, 2024 and participants are required to participate for the entire duration. Arrival day is June 03, departure day is June 10.

Where : The training takes place in the Hostel of Roble Moreno Association, in Rascafría, Spain. The association is active in environmental protection,  youth work and community building.

Who is this training for? This training is for those who plan to start or continue working with ESC projects in ecovillages and  sustainability projects.

Costs : An EU grant covers food and accommodation at the venue as well as the training itself. There is a travel  grant that may or may not be quite enough to cover real costs so you might need to top it up.
