Conference Digital Youth Work

27-30 November 2017 | Vienna, Austria
The Conference will bring togehter 100 – 120 youth workers and youth work stakeholders from Europe and create a space to examine the concept of digital youth work from diverse angles.
The conference will inform about current developments on EU-Level, present concrete practice, enable participants to get a hands-on-experience on tools that are useful for their daily work and reflect on the role of youth workers in a digital world.
Above all it strives to demonstrate that digital youth work is fun (for young people and youth workers alike) and ignite the digital spark in participants.
Main Objectives:
-) To familiarise with and understand better digital youth work approaches
-) To learn practical examples of digital youth work
-) To exchange and practice digital tools for youth work
-) To reflect youth worker’s role in relation to digital approaches
-) To prepare participants to introduce digital approaches to their youth work practice
We are looking for participants who
-) Work with young people and/or youth work organisations as youth leader, youth worker, trainer, mentor and coach
-) are open and ready to introduce digital approaches to youth work practice
-) Can introduce new ideas both to their superiors and to the grass-root level colleagues
-) Are over 18
-) Are able to learn and work in English

Costs
This project is financed by the Erasmus+: Youth in Action Programme. Being selected for this course, all costs (accommodation, travel, visa, etc.) relevant to participation in the course will be covered by the NAs or SALTO involved in this project - except a participation fee which varies from call to call and country to country. Please contact your Erasmus+: Youth in Action NA to learn more about the financial details, and how to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.
