Awareness Against Nomophobia

Training Course

20-26 May 2025 | Ankara, Türkiye

This one-week training course brings together youth workers from 7 countries to explore the impact of smartphone overuse, raise awareness about nomophobia, and promote healthy digital habits through non-formal learning methods.

About the Project

In today’s digital age, smartphones have become an inseparable part of our lives. While technology brings many benefits, excessive use can lead to nomophobia — the fear of being without a mobile phone or disconnected from the digital world. This project aims to raise awareness about nomophobia and promote healthier digital habits among young people and youth workers.

Main Objectives:

  • Increase awareness about nomophobia and its psychological and social impacts
  • Empower youth workers with strategies to prevent smartphone addiction
  • Promote healthy time management in the digital world
  • Strengthen communication skills (both face-to-face and digital)
  • Support the personal and professional development of youth workers
  • Encourage intercultural dialogue and cooperation

What Will We Do?

  • During this 7-day mobility in Ankara, we will engage in:
  • Interactive workshops on nomophobia and digital well-being
  • Non-formal education activities focused on personal development
  • Group discussions, role-playing, and simulations
  • Cultural exchange sessions to strengthen intercultural learning
  • Development of practical tools and methods for youth workers to use in their communities

Who Are We Looking For?
Youth workers who:

  • Are actively working with young people
  • Are motivated to raise awareness about healthy digital habits
  • Are interested in non-formal learning methods
  • Can communicate in English
  • Are committed to sharing the project outcomes in their local communities
