24-26 April 2023 | Katowice, Poland

Тhe European Forum of Young Leaders is a side event of the European Economic Congress and will take place in Katowice, Poland, on April 24-26.

Тhe European Forum of Young Leaders is a side event of the European Economic Congress and will take place in Katowice, Poland, on April 24-26, 2023. Participants from all over Europe will have the opportunity to discuss different important aspects of today’s Europe with a special focus on international youth cooperation.

The Forum is addressed to young leaders: young people, students, youth activists who are no strangers to participation in public life, involvement and action for the European public space.

During the event, we will try to find out what encourages young people to act, and what on the contrary – blocks them? What do young people want to be involved in, and where are they missing from the perspective of the older generation?

The idea of the Forum is to provide a space for active youth activists from the European Union, the Western Balkans, the Eastern Partnership and Poland to share experiences, network and discuss issues important to young people across Europe.

As part of the Forum, young participants can meet business representatives and opinion leaders present at the Congress, while Congress guests are invited to participate in the activities of the European Forum of Young Leaders.

The main topics of the Forum will be:

Education for the future (science and development).

Professions of the future.

Social involvement.

The European Commission has declared 2023 the "European Year of Skills". At the same time, EuroSkills 2023 Gdańsk will take place in September in Poland – and will be the largest event in Europe related to the improvement of professional competences. In order to be part of the extensive EU activities, in the programme of the European Forum of Young Leaders, the EuroSkills 2023 Gdańsk initiative will be presented, along with the best solutions in the field of vocational education and training, and cooperation between sectoral education and business and local government. The emphasis will be also put on the development of professional and soft skills.
