1 on 1: Interpersonal Relationship in Youth Work

Youth leaders/workers will develop individual youth work competences (coaching in personal and professional path, mentoring, consulting, conflict resolution skills) to foster inclusion and empowerment of young people with fewer opportunities.
The training aims to develop individual youth work competence of youth leaders and youth workers to ensure better quality in Erasmus + projects.
Specific objectives of the training are:
1. To explore the concept of individual youth work, inclusion and empowerment of young people with fewer opportunities
2. To develop individual youth work competences of youth leaders/workers from partner organizations in mentoring, coaching, open youth work, counselling, carrier development and planning of young people
3. To share good practices from partner organizations on different individual youth work methodologies for fostering inclusion and empowerment of young people with fewer opportunities
4. To develop high quality future international projects within Erasmus +
5. To create youth work support system with help of supervision in each partner organization.
Participants will:
- learn how to empower young people and support learning process of individuals in their daily youth work
- develop their personal methodological approach in individual youth work based on new theories, approaches, educational methods and techniques
- improve their ability to find individual approach to young people with different backgrounds, establish interpersonal relationships (of proper distance) and get in touch with young person on an emotional level
- reflect on and better understand their own values, beliefs, behaviours as professionals and identify competences that require further improvement
Participants will gain specific skills and tools valuable for implementing individual youth work as coaching, supervision, mentorship, counselling on various issues, career planning, conflict management, addressing different cases, etc.
Information about training activities reaches SALTO from the most
different directions. SALTO cannot be held responsible for incorrect information or changes

training activities themselves for the latest information.
Accommodation, local transportation related to the project, food (breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee breaks) and other activity costs are covered by the hosting organisation only during the project’s dates.
There is no participation fee.
Travel costs will be reimbursed according the Erasmus + funding rules.

Lithuania - 180
Poland - 180
Note: don’t buy tickets until you get confirmation from the organizers.
Visa costs:
If you need a visa to take part in the educational activity please fill in the participant application form and send it to the Lithuanian organizers (nmiginis@gmail.com) to provide you with official incitation, to support the application procedure in the embassy. Visa costs will be reimbursed 100% at the training course.
Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
