YOUSPORT MINI STUDY VISIT

Study Visit

16-19 March 2025 | Tampere and it's region , Finland

This study visit provides an opportunity for youth workers and sports officers from local communities in Ireland, Italy, Malta, Finland, and Germany to working in the youth and/or sport sector(s) to gather.

The focus of this mini study visit is “the role of the youth and sports sectors in municipalities in engaging young people through social sport methods"

The main aim of the activity is to provide organisations with the space to share, learn from each other, and create potential projects under the Erasmus+ programme (youth and sport) and find potential partnerships for future projects.  

The objectives of the visit are:

  • Introduce the Erasmus+ programme in youth and sports.
  • How youth and sports services in municipalities collaborate with NGOs and associations across municipal boundaries.
  • Showcase Finnich projects promoting social sports for young people
  • Highlight good practices in youth work and social sports.
  • Understand the impact of Erasmus+ projects on local communities.
  • Explore practical approaches to organise sports
  • Exchange ideas, gain knowledge, and learn through job shadowing.
  • Build partnerships for future Erasmus+ Youth or Sports projects.
  • Exchange good practices and develop new knowledge and skills through job shadowing activity. 
  • Learn how to design quality Erasmus+ projects 
  • Provide personal and group learning experiences through practical activities and  reflect on participants learning process. 

This study visit in youthsports combine real case studies, workshops, job shadowing, and evaluations for hands-on learning.

The draft programme: 

16th March

Arrivals / welcome dinner 

17th March 

Introduction, setting aims and objectives, getting to know each other, exploring the role of municipalities in promoting social sports for youth, 

18th March 

Small group visits to various cities and municipalities in the region to learn how youth and sports initiatives promote active, healthy lifestyles and engage young people.

19th March 

Discussion on the future cooperation, insights from site-visits, evaluation and farewell lunch 12.00 pm.

Participation fee

This project is financed by the participating National Agencies (NAs) of the Erasmus+ Programme. The participation fee varies from country to country. Please contact your National Agency or SALTO Resource Centre (SALTO) to learn more about the participation fee for participants from your country.

Accommodation and food

The hosting NA  of this offer will organise the accommodation and covers the costs for accommodation and food during this study visit. 

Travel reimbursement

Please contact your NA in order to know whether they would support your travel costs. If yes, after being selected, get in touch with your NA or SALTO again to learn more about the overall procedure to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.
