inSPIre Conference

120 participants (young people +18, youth workers, NA officers)

Background Information

The Strategic Partnership on Inclusion (SPI) is a coordinated approach of 15 Erasmus+ Youth National Agencies (NAs) and 2 SALTO-YOUTH resource centres (Inclusion & Diversity and South East Europe) to involve more organisations working in the inclusion & diversity fields and to increase the participation of young people with fewer opportunities in the Erasmus+:YiA programme and the European Solidarity Corps. It is coordinated by SALTO Inclusion & Diversity. This is done through: 

• mapping new organisations & needs analysis
• motivation, information & capacity building
• partnership building & networking
• support for international mobility as part of their inclusion work
• mapping existing resources & tools, or creating new ones
• monitoring impact & documenting the tested approaches 

A first edition of this conference  took place in June 2018 (SPI Harvesting Conference) after the first cyle of joint activities.

A second edition will be kindly hosted by the Léargas - the Irish NA for the Erasmus+ programme and European Solidarity Corps. It will take place 17-20 August 2020 (including arrival and departure days) in Limerick, Ireland. We are expecting close to 120 participants, previously involved at national and international level in SPI related activities. 

Objectives

• To get inspired and learn from each other, to improve our inclusion youth work;
• To get to know new practicioners and organisations working in the inclusion & diversity fields and to promote networking;
• To share inclusion practices and projects developed in the framework of SPI;
• To celebrate achievements of the 2018-2020 cycle of activities;
• To identify lessons learnt and reflect on future steps (for project organisers and NAs).

Requested trainer profile

• Good English (including writing skills);
• Used to work with large group of participants (+100pax);
• Experience with trainings and facilitation of international events, group discussions, providing space and dynamic methods for participants to share their practices;
• Experience & knowledge on the main topics: inclusion & diversity;
• Familiar with the Erasmus+ programme and European Solidarity Corps;
• Availability for both dates of the prep-meeting and conference;
• Previous experience in SPI activities at national or international level is considered an asset.

Working conditions

Trainers fees, travel and board & lodging
2,5 working days at 310€ per day, plus a lump sum of 775€ covering all preparation, communication and follow-up (evaluation and reporting). In total: 1550€ all in (VAT included).

SALTO Inclusion & Diversity RC (Jint vzw) and Léargas will cover the trainers' travel & subsistence costs for the prep-meeting and event.

Dates for preparatory meeting and event

• One preparatory meeting: 24-27 February 2020 (arrival on 24th, 25-26 full working days and departure on 27th) – Limerick-Ireland
• inSPIre conference: 17-20 August 2020 (team arrival on 16th, participants arrival and welcoming on 17th, full working days 18-19 and departure on 20th), Limerick - Ireland

Team composition

• Coordination: Andreia Henriques - SALTO Inclusion & Diversity RC
• 3 Facilitators selected through this call
• Conference prep-team: representatives from Léargas + 3 other NAs (PL, DE, LV) that will attend prep-meeting and are involved in conceptualising the conference and support its implementation
