Bridges 21 January 2005

The workshops in Good Practices continued, to build on existing experience, rather than reinventing the wheel. A nice part of Bridges for Recognition was also the Networking Fair where organisations present their activities - before diving into a discussion on different needs towards recognition.

Good Practices: Presentations and Reflections

>>> Pictures Day 2 Here <<<

The Good Practice presentations continued on day 2 of Bridges for Recognition. When setting up the conference, we soon found out that there were so many interesting initiatives going on already, that we indeed needed the number of Good Practice workshops which we now have in the programme. It allowed the participants to familiarise themselves with new/other recognition procedures or instruments AND the good practice presenters had the opportunity to receive feedback from people from different sectors.

Networking Fair

Many participants presented different initiatives in the field of recognition (at stands, showing videos or projections) or brought information material about their organisation or activities. Participants appreciated the chance to informally talk to each other about their projects.

Different needs towards recognition:

As became already clear from the first day, the different stakeholder groups present at Bridges for Recognition (youth workers, youth trainers, education, labour market, National Agencies/Coordinators, European Officials, local & national authorities) have different approaches towards recognition and also different needs when it comes to recognition (e.g. an employer is checking whether a young person would be appropriate for a certain job, whereas a youth trainer is looking for areas where participants still can develop)
