125 people arrived from all corners of Europe (Participant List here) to discuss recognition together, or how to get youth work recognised across Europe. Participants were welcomed at Leuven railway station and shuttled to the hotels, to get ready for the welcome evening.
The evening started off with a little reception, and a speech by Tony Geudens, the coordinator of the event. All participants had a different colour badge, and the challenge for the evening was to find out what the different colours represented.
Bridges for Recognition was the follow up of Bridges for Training in 2001, but nevertheless is a different activity. However one thing which is the same at Bridges for Recognition is the aim of building bridges between participants from different backgrounds and sectors!
