Volunteering conference 2025

In light of the exciting developments within the new EU programs, we are eager to support and highlight the unique value of youth volunteering and lived solidarity through the conference "Building Bridges, Creating Change: The Power of Youth Volunteering."

The conference is divided into two parts. On the first day, participants will collaborate to establish common positions on the three main themes of the event.

First, we will dive into how EU volunteering initiatives foster a profound sense of European belonging among participants and local communities, emphasizing solidarity, democracy, and interculturality to nurture common values and enhance intercultural understanding.

Second, we will highlight how volunteering empowers young volunteers as leaders driving systemic change for environmental sustainability, contributing to a greener Europe.

Third, we will explore how EU volunteering cultivates empathy and active citizenship, empowering youth as agents of solidarity and supporting NGOs in crisis response, reflecting the EU's commitment to unity and compassion.

The second day will feature high-level panel discussions at the prestigious European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), offering a unique platform for influential dialogue on the future of EU youth volunteering programs.

This event brings together policymakers, researchers, practitioners, and administrative representatives to discuss the future direction of the EU youth volunteering program. Your expertise and perspective will be very valuable to our discussions.
