• My project ?

This project is related to environmental education, in particular, to raise awareness for the protection of the brown bear of the Pyrenees, the area where the project was developed.
The goal of the 4-member team was to design educational material for children aged 6-12 years from schools in the Pyrenees area. To develop this project, a larger team with people from a vast region of the Pyrenees (France and Spain) was coordinated and supervised.

• The Outcome

Our association called SOURS is very satisfied with the job done in environmental education! Awareness has been well raised in the area for protecting biodiversity! 5 pedagogical tools were created with success!
It was not easy to introduce new concepts and change the ways of thinking and acting in small and isolated rural communities, but eventually children (as well as parents and teachers) realized the benefits of our work.
The working area now has innovative and useful material for discovering the brown bear and the importance of protecting our environment.
Personally, it allowed me to discover the fascinating mountains and to learn more about the bear, as well as living in another country and learning another language. In work terms, I discovered how complicated it can be to work in and for a team, even though we were previously friends and knew each other. I learned about social communication. Above all, this project has allowed me to work in something I deeply love and which fulfils me!
