"Let's Train with our neighbours" is belonging to the long term cooperation between the Regional SALTO Resource Centres (SALTO EUROMED, SALTO SOUTH EAST EUROPE and SALTO EASTERN EUROPE and CAUCASUS) encouraged by the European Commission together with French, Slovenian and Polish National Agencies of the Youth in Action Programme.
Let's Train with our Neighbours is a new step into the cooperation. In fact, this year, each Regional SALTO in cooperation with a thematic SALTO has developed a specific topic relevant for their Region.
SALTO EUROMED in cooperation with SALTO PARTICIPATION chose the following issues: CIVIL SOCIETY, PARTICIPATION and DEMOCRACY.
This first session took place in Franceville Merville (Normandy, France) from 4 to 11 October 2011.
13 participants from 11 partner countries and 2 EU program countries were there (Armenia, France, Georgia, Israel, Lebanon, Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey).
They learnt about innovative perspective of Democracy in the European Neighbouring Policy Initiative (ENPI) area, they shared their own experiences.
The LTTC was project oriented and offered to the participants new tools to develop further some projects.
Altogether, the participants prepared 6 projects: 1 education, youth exchanges 4 and 1observation placement (job shaddowing).
They will be accompanied by the team of trainers during the coaching phase till the evaluation one.
Participants run workshops and produced two videos: the first one tells what happened during the training and...
The second one is a "play": some participants played journalist's role and others were interviewed. The issue: "My first project".
SALTO EECA and SALTO Cultural Diversity chose Peace education.
SALTO SEE and SALTO Youth pass chose Recognition of non-formal learning in youth work.
