Volunteering a step for employability

This training activity took place in Mollina (Spain) from 3 to 7 November 2010

This training activity was dedicated to Spanish, French and Mediterranean participants and was organized in cooperation with Spanish and French National agencies for the Youth in Action programme.

"Volunteering a step for employability" was designed to set a real opportunity for European and Mediterranean volunteering organizations to share and discuss about the role of youth in the society and in the economical life and to create reliable partnerships.

The aims was both to provide information on the situation of young people in Frane, Spain and in Mediterranean partner countries and also, to allow the youth organizations to exchange, to share and to create sustainable partnerships.

Three experts broutgh inputs on Youth and employability:

  • Taoufik Louzari (Moroccan expert) presented the "Youth situation in Morocco"
  • Angelica Trindade-Chadeau (INJEP expert) presented "Youth and employment in France"
  • Almudena Moreno Minguez (Universitad de Valladolid Expert) presented "The values of non-formal education and volunteering in the transition of Youth to the labor market in Spain"

And Salto-Youth EuroMed representatives brought added information:

  • Bernard Abrignani presented "Youth in Europe"
  • Federica Demicheli (on behalf Asuman Goksel) presented "Volunteering in EuroMed"

The Youth organizations found place to share with the "Youth organizations market" and the "Good practices" workshop.

There were 25 participants: 8 from France, 8 from Spain and 9 from Mediterranean partner countries.
