WHAT WE DO?

• We share our expertise and experience to strengthen synergies between the European Union’s youth policy, programmes and practitioners.
• We explore and promote best practices. Through sharing stories, we can inspire and encourage more positive action in Europe.
• We publish up-to-date research and strategies on democratic participation, create tools and organise trainings. Our purpose is to give young people, educators and youth workers the opportunity to learn, develop and thrive.
• We support the entire network of National Agencies, the European Commission and partners involved in their work.
• We help to ensure the quality and recognition of youth work and foster youth participation, non-formal learning and informal learning for young people.

Since 1 January 2018, after the restructuring of the SALTO network, SALTO PI was founded and has a home in Estonia, hosted by the Estonian National Agency for Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps / Estonian Education and Youth Board (Harno). From 2007 till 2017, SALTO Participation RC was hosted by Bureau International Jeunesse (BIJ) in Belgium and SALTO Information RC was hosted by the Swedish National Agency.
